The Catch — Honest Parent Note
The 'Old Money' choice for the Lausanne elite. The catch: Deeply traditional and culturally French. While they have an English IB stream, the social 'pulse' of the school remains local Swiss-French. If you don't speak French, parent integration into the social circle is significantly harder.
One-Time Capital Development Fee: CHF 4,000 – 6,000 (one-time, mandatory upon entry). This fee is in addition to annual tuition and is non-refundable.
There are no free international schools in Switzerland. If it is in English and follows an international curriculum, it is 100% private. The closest option is SIS (Swiss International School) at CHF 15k – 25k, but still far from free. Tuition is just the starting point — registration fees, deposits and expedition fees are additional.
