A leading Swiss boarding school perched above Lake Zug, founded in 1926. Offers the IB Diploma and Swiss Matura in a stunning Alpine setting. Day and boarding options for students aged 6–18.
The Catch — Honest Parent Note
The 'Boutique' Alpine experience perched on the Zugerberg. The catch: The split between the Swiss Matura (local) and International (IB) sections is real. While they share a campus, social circles can stay quite segregated. It is also a 'quiet' boarding environment—great for focus, but boring for some city-loving teens.
One-Time Capital Development Fee: CHF 4,000 – 6,000 (one-time, mandatory upon entry). This fee is in addition to annual tuition and is non-refundable.
There are no free international schools in Switzerland. If it is in English and follows an international curriculum, it is 100% private. The closest option is SIS (Swiss International School) at CHF 15k – 25k, but still far from free. Tuition is just the starting point — registration fees, deposits and expedition fees are additional.
