The Catch: This is the most famous school in the world. It sells out nearly a year in advance — if you haven't booked by Christmas, your chances for the following summer are slim. It is strictly bilingual (English/French): native English speakers are expected to actively engage with the French culture, not just tolerate it.

The Catch: A massive international hub with over 180 kids per session. While supervision is elite, it is a "big camp" vibe. If your child needs a small, quiet, academic environment, this isn't it. The sheer scale is both its strength and its weakness.

The Catch: Every child must participate in a mandatory "Mountain Expedition" involving an overnight camp-out. If your child is not a "nature lover" and hates sleeping in a tent, they will find this challenging — it is non-negotiable. The age split is strict: Explorers (8–12) and Eagles (13–16) have separate programmes.

The Catch: This is the "classic" Swiss camp experience. The Catch: It is a high-volume camp with hundreds of kids. It's fantastic for social butterflies, but quieter children might find the constant "High Energy" vibe and large group sizes a bit exhausting.

Lake Geneva Urban Elite

Brillantmont, Champittet, and Collège du Léman — the three urban-elite campuses on the shores of Lake Geneva. AI robotics, Olympian workshops, and IMD Business School partnerships. For the high-achiever child.

Urban vs. Alpine: These Lake Geneva campuses are close to Geneva city — fantastic for visiting parents and day-student options. If your family specifically wants the remote mountain wilderness experience, see the Alpine Originals above.

The Catch: One of the few Swiss camps with a dedicated AI & Robotics track where kids build a robot to take home. The Catch: The Tech Academy is taught in English and is not for beginners. Your child needs a genuine interest in coding to keep up. The Language Academy is a gentler entry point for those who want the Brillantmont experience without the tech intensity.

The Catch: This is a "Transformative Leadership" camp, not a playground. It involves etiquette, time management, and goal-setting. It's for the "Type A" high-achiever child. The Catch: If your child is looking for a relaxed summer holiday, this will feel like school. The workshops with Olympians and IMD Business School are genuinely world-class — but they demand engagement.

The Switzerland Value Proposition

You don't come to Switzerland for a cheap holiday; you come for Alpine safety, multi-lingual immersion, and facilities that feel like 5-star resorts. Every CHF spent is all-inclusive — no hidden extras, no surprise bills.

Looking for Drama or Budget Football?

Switzerland's strengths are Leadership, STEAM, and Alpine Adventure. For dedicated English-language Theatre or affordable Football-only day camps, we recommend our England directory (West End Stage, Chelsea FC) and our Netherlands directory (Ajax Academy from €170).

Switzerland camp booking tips

Le Rosey: book by Christmas

Le Rosey sells out nearly a year in advance. If you haven't booked by December for the following summer, your chances are slim. Enquire in September–October for best availability.

Aiglon: prepare for the expedition

The mandatory overnight Mountain Expedition is non-negotiable. The age split is strict — Explorers (8–12) and Eagles (13–16) have separate programmes. Prepare your child mentally before booking.

CHF vs EUR: check the rate

Swiss camps price in CHF (Swiss Francs). All prices are VAT-inclusive and stable — unlike UK camps, Swiss pricing rarely changes mid-season. Always confirm the exact rate at time of booking.
