King's College School, Cascais

Opened in 2022, King's College School Cascais is the newest major international school in the Lisbon area — and one of the most ambitious. The school occupies a brand-new purpose-built 40,000sqm campus in Cascais, fully completed in September 2025, with state-of-the-art classrooms, science laboratories, sports facilities and a boarding house.

King's College is the only school in the Lisbon area to offer the full Cambridge International curriculum from pre-school through to Year 11, alongside a bilingual Portuguese/English track available to Year 5. The school is working towards IB Diploma authorisation for Years 12 and 13, with full Year 13 provision expected by 2027.

The boarding house, inaugurated in September 2025, is the first in the Cascais area — a unique offering for families who travel frequently or want a residential option for their children from age 13. Students from Year 5 use personal iPads in class, and the school's Elite Sports Programme offers individualised coaching in a chosen sport during school hours.
