International Sharing School Taguspark is the most multilingual school in Portugal — and one of the most linguistically ambitious international schools in Europe. Students are immersed in up to 6 languages and 3 different alphabets from primary school, with the stated goal of graduating students who speak at least 5 of the 8 languages offered fluently: English, Portuguese, French, German, Mandarin, Russian, Italian and Spanish.
Set in Taguspark — Portugal's flagship science and technology park in Porto Salvo, Oeiras — the school has a distinctly innovation-oriented environment. With 65 nationalities among approximately 700 students, ISS has one of the most diverse communities of any school in Portugal. The school's core values of Care, Multiculturalism and Hospitality are embedded throughout the curriculum.
ISS accepts children from just 12 months old — the youngest start age of any major international school in the Lisbon area — and offers the full IB Continuum through to IB Diploma. All school supplies are included in fees: stationery, books, digital platform access and arts materials. The school communicates with families in 7 languages.
150 qualified teachers and assistants serve approximately 700 students, and transport is available from Lisbon, Oeiras, Cascais and Sintra.

What families tell us — the things the school's own website won't say
Parent reviews for ISS are genuinely mixed — some families are extremely enthusiastic, while others describe management as chaotic and the IB delivery as inconsistent compared to other IB schools. The school has appeared in "Top 10 Must-Watch International Schools in Europe" lists, but forum reviews vary considerably. We recommend reading recent parent reviews carefully before visiting. Note the unusual 12-month minimum enrolment commitment — if there's any chance you may relocate within a year, this is worth factoring in. The Porto Salvo location is not central Lisbon and requires a car or the school's transport service.
